The Port of Tolkkinen is located in Porvoo, just 5.5 kilometres away from the Helsinki–Kotka motorway (E18). The Port has good road connections to the rest of Finland and key industrial areas. For example, Ring III is only around 34 kilometres away!
Arriving by road
Those entering the port area shall contact the access control when they arrive at the port gate by calling the number displayed there. The access control will guide the visitor to the right place.
Arriving by sea
There is a 7.20 metres deep fairway to the Port of Tolkkinen. The fairway is open around the year, and the frequently used Sköldvik oil harbour nearby helps keep the ice conditions favourable. The vessels obligated to use the pilot shall pick up a pilot on the Emäsalo N pilot station at 60 02,60' N / 25 33,80' E. The pilot shall be requested by the vessel or its representative. The shipping company, shipper, recipient of cargo or their representative shall submit an advance notice of an expected vessel/shipment as early as possible and around one week before the shipping at the latest, so that the placement of the vessel in the port and load-handling can be arranged. A vessel arriving in the port or its representative shall submit advance information about the arrival as early as possible, but no later than 24 hours before the arrival of the vessel.
